Responsibilities
- Provide technical support during all project phases Support SW / HW upgrades Attending customer meetings, status updates, project reporting etc. Manage, supervise and audit subcontractors providing supplemental support services Technical CSM support Depending on the project scope, a Customer Support & Field Engineer may take a technical lead role responsible for overall deployment, test and handover.
- Manage skills transfer from the design team to the implementation team.
- Ensure that the project team and the stakeholders are kept up to date with the progress on the project.
- Coordinate the interface between design and implementation.
- Maintain the records related to technical aspects of the work carried out in the sites.
- Ensure the project is delivered to the desired quality standard.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance routines to ensure proper system operation with focus on trend analysis and documentation of results.
- The scope of responsibility for a Customer Support & Field Engineer will be determined by their seniority in the organization and the composition of the project team they are working with.
Requirements
- There may also be a requirement to provide support to pre-sales activities.
- In general a Customer Support & Field Engineer should strive for the following: Maintaining an excellent working knowledge of all public safety applications, solutions and services as well as emerging trends within the industry.

- Requirements Specific Knowledge/Skills Engineering Degree (Telecommunications, Electrical, or Electronics). 5+ years of
- experience in the telecommunications field, IT is a plus.
- At least upper intermediate level English to attend business calls.
- Driver's license Knowledge of: Radio frequency principles Transmission theory LMR, P25 or TETRA networks Microwave transmission systems AC/DC power systems Deployment of generators Windows / Linux basic OS administration knowledge Networking IP configuration Travel
