Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot production applications and databases, including ESRI GIS portals and other enterprise systems.
- Support data integration and pipelines, ensuring accurate and consistent flow of information between systems.
- Maintain data standards and schema consistency across applications and databases, including geospatial datasets.
- Collaborate with development and operational teams to resolve technical issues and align sustainment activities with evolving business priorities.
- Identify and mitigate potential security and operational risks in production applications.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, processes, and best practices for sustaining applications, databases, and GIS systems Minimum
- This position is full time onsite in Reston, VA.

- Government Security Clearance at the TS/SCI level with CI polygraph.
- Vantor is seeking a Production & Data Sustainment Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of production applications and databases, including GIS systems, manage data pipelines, and maintain data standards across systems.
- The ideal candidate brings expertise in database management, application sustainment, GIS data handling, and operational support in medium to large enterprise environments, with the ability to adapt to evolving business and technical priorities.
- Success depends on the ability to sustain critical production systems, uphold data and GIS standards, and anticipate operational or security risks.
- experience in database administration or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Database Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of RDBMS internals (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and database administration best practices.
- Experience with data integration, ETL pipelines, or scripting (e.g., Python, Shell, Perl).
- Familiarity with GIS data structures, ESRI ArcGIS portals, geodatabases, and backend connectivity components.
