Manufacturing Production Control Specialist

Responsibilities
- Review and determine the production process necessary to produce metal parts.
- Establish routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, labor estimates for revisions to current operations and/or new parts.
- Perform general administrative duties as needed to meet administrative support needs.
- Make and update process documentation to facilitate manufacturing.
- Write and implement work instructions for complex processes / parts.
- Update standard routings and manufacturing best practices for overall accuracy.
- Maintain and improve work flows such as ECOs and shop paperwork.
- Collaborate with engineering to create/update better manufacturability of manufactured parts to improve safety, quality, production and cost. Education & Experience
Requirements
- Identify opportunities on new and existing products and implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, and/or materials.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or relevant experience 5 years
- experience in manufacturing including metal fabrication, machining, weld and assembly required is required.
- Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing process equipment involving multi-process metalworking, machining and fabrication operations.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T dimensioning.
- Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma experience.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with
- experience working in a team environment
- Must be proficient with computers and have
- experience with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word, (Solid Works and Creo preferred)
