Responsibilities
- Support program bid and proposal activities. Ensure that
- Develop and implement plans and schedules to execute contracts/subcontracts.
- Report program status to senior management as required.
- Establish and monitor adherence to program master plans and schedules, identify program problems, obtain solutions, direct allocation of resources.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans when deviations from budgets and/or schedule are evident.
- Formally identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risk throughout the program life cycle.
- Obtain management approval prior to making decisions that will cause deterioration of established program, cost, and schedule objectives.
- Coordinate with other departments on resolution of contractual problems with customer.
- Coordinate with Sr Program Manager and Contracts Manager on issues pertaining to contract requirements, changes, and interpretations.
- Ensure coordination across multiple programs and/or projects and with other product line leads.
- Direct and coordinate multi-million- to billion-dollar proposal activities from U.S. and foreign governments.
- Successful track record in managing or proposing complex aerospace/defense projects as a prime or subcontractor to a domestic or foreign military organization.
Requirements
- Development and maintenance of the program integrated master schedule to include the internal and external milestones and phases as established by the respective program teams.
- Ability to clearly communicate program status, issues, risks, opportunities and plans to internal senior management.
- Requirements Bachelor's degree or 20+ years of relatable work experience.
- Experience with earned value cost accounting and reporting preferred;
- experience with metrics for assessing and reporting program progress, productivity, and variance analysis.
- Microsoft Office Suite skills, including PowerPoint.
- Work Environment Ability to travel nationally on occasion.
- Work will be performed in an office environment Work will require activities to be performed in a simulator high-bay environment periodically Work will require activities to be performed in a simulator computer lab periodically Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Ability to operate personal computer, communicate via telephone.
