Business Enterprise Architect

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the business architecture practice, aligned to business strategy and technology roadmap.
  • Build and maintain enterprise-level models of business capabilities, processes, value streams, and data capabilities, connecting these with organisational design.
  • Identify capability gaps and inform portfolio planning, sequencing, and investment decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance business capabilities through digital, data, and AI-driven solutions.
  • Define enterprise-wide standards for capability mapping, process design, and portfolio alignment, co-owned with the Business Process Management team.
  • Establish lightweight governance to ensure initiatives follow agreed principles, standards, and best practices — enabling consistency and scalability without becoming a control gate.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, systems thinking, and long-term alignment across organisational silos.
  • Proven track record in enterprise/business architecture or adjacent fields such as strategy, operating model design, or large-scale transformation.

Requirements

  • Operating at a strategic level, the role works across business and technology leadership to shape how the organisation delivers value, drives transformation, and adopts emerging capabilities including digital and AI.
  • Partner with the Technical/Solution Enterprise Architect, Head of Automation/AI, and Data leads to establish guardrails and frameworks that keep business and technology decisions consistent and future-proof.
  • experience in business architecture, consulting, or enterprise strategy roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership or strategic capacity.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise operating models, capability frameworks, and transformation practices. •
  • Experience working in product-led organisations and partnering with technology and product leaders.
  • Ability to operate at executive level and communicate complex concepts clearly and simply. Nice to have
  • TOGAF or equivalent certification — pragmatic application valued over formal accreditation.
  • Experience with agile-at-scale frameworks (e.g. SAFe, LeSS or equivalent), with a proven ability to connect enterprise architecture practice into agile delivery models. About Super

  • Connect business priorities with delivery portfolios in partnership with technology teams, and provide executive visibility on where to invest, consolidate, or transform.
  • Engage business leaders across all functions to align processes and capabilities.
  • Partner with the Technical/Solution Enterprise Architect and Enterprise Engineering Team to ensure coherence across business, data, applications, and technology layers.
  • Provide a neutral, enterprise-wide perspective in decision-making, optimising for the whole.
