Requirements

- Assists with providing education activities for unit/department. What We Require: Education: Graduate of school of professional nursing of an accredited college or graduate of an approved program eligible to sit for the VA licensure exam.
- Licensure/Certification: Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure.
- Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required.
- May be required to obtain/maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP based on specific work unit.

- Our patients require comprehensive monitoring and interventions that bridge the gap between intensive care and acute medical-surgical nursing.
- As part of the health care team, RNs assume primary accountability for nursing coordination and provision of individualized care for patients of all ages.
- Collaborates with members of the health care team/patient/family to develop, implement, and evaluate an age-specific interdisciplinary plan of care.
- Determines and performs within clinical, leadership, and/or education pathways to support (direct/indirect) evidenced based, quality patient care service and performance improvement.
- Manages resources, establishes priorities, and modifies environment to meet patient care needs.
