Responsibilities
- Support various generator/HVAC systems identified in Table 4.5.1 – C2 Systems and Associated Support Equipment; Table 4.5.2 ATCALS Systems and Associated Support Equipment; Table 4.5.3 ATC Weather Systems and Associated Support equipment; Table 4.5.4 C2 Air Control Squadron O&M Support, Table 4.5.5 Regional Maintenance Center O&M and Support Equipment.
- The designee shall be qualified to maintain, modify, and repair electrical power generating and control systems, automatic transfer switches, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC) systems, and associated equipment.
Requirements
- This designee shall be qualified to work from blueprints, drawings, and operating a variety of electrician’s hand tools and testing instruments.
- Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Universal 608 HVAC certification.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Formal training on power generating equipment and associated equipment such as: military technical training school, vocational college, and/or a four (4) year apprentice program with
- experience in electrical power production maintenance and repair.
- Computer knowledge to navigate online training, time keeping and email.
- experience with equipment the technician will maintain. Six (6) months of Cummins Commercial, Advanced Medium Mobile Power Source (AMMPS) and InPower Software experience required.
- Ability to lift of up 50 lbs.
- Ability to do the following for sustained periods of time: stoop, bend, kneel, carry, reach, lift.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment Ability to obtain and maintain a US CENTCOM Medical Exam Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- NOTE: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Additional details
- Performs scheduled periodic maintenance on systems and components, and adjusts systems to maintain proper voltage, refrigerant levels, current, frequency, and synchronization.
- Identifies, repairs, and records malfunctions by removing, repairing, and or replacing defective components.
