CNC Eastman and Operator – Composites Technician

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, composites technicians, and systems integrators to ensure fit, function, and manufacturability of parts.

RESPONSIBILITIES: - Program, set up, and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills (and routers) to kitand airbrush fiberglass & foam cores - Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360), and CAM files (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion, or NX) to produce accurate components to spec.
experience as a CNC programmer/operator at a high-rate boat building factory - Strong
experience with CAM software (Fusion 360, Mastercam, NX, or equivalent) - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T - Comfortable working in a startup or fast-paced R&D environment - Strong attention to detail and self-motivation - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs - Ability to identify differences between different fiberglass types and designs - Preferred: - Familiarity with 5-axis machines and multi-axis toolpath strategies - Prior
experience in the maritimecomposite manufacturing industries
