Responsibilities
- Review equipment status, process parameters, and alarms to ensure the plant operates within defined parameters and adheres to standard operating procedures.
- Ensure safe and continuous plant operations, maintaining product quality, and complying with environmental regulations.
- Identify and troubleshoot process and equipment issues, resolving them promptly by collaborating with plant and HROC teams to minimize downtime and production losses.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of process parameters, equipment readings, and operational activities.
Requirements
- What Are We Looking For Proven ability to safely operate a cement plant in a 24/7 environment, with extensive control room experience, disciplined decision making, strong understanding of kiln and mill processes, and familiarity with process control systems required to remotely operate a complex plant.
- Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree, preferably in Chemical, Industrial, or Manufacturing.
- Technical certifications or vocational training in process operations or a related field may be substituted for a degree.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and precision.
- Excellent communication and the ability to collaborate effectively with maintenance, engineering, and production personnel.
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights, and weekends.
- Ability to travel within the United States and Canada as required.
