Optimization Specialist II - HROC

Responsibilities

Review equipment status, process parameters, and alarms to ensure the plant operates within defined parameters and adheres to standard operating procedures.
Ensure safe and continuous plant operations, maintaining product quality, and complying with environmental regulations.
Identify and troubleshoot process and equipment issues, resolving them promptly by collaborating with plant and HROC teams to minimize downtime and production losses.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of process parameters, equipment readings, and operational activities.

What Are We Looking For Proven ability to safely operate a cement plant in a 24/7 environment, with extensive control room experience, disciplined decision making, strong understanding of kiln and mill processes, and familiarity with process control systems required to remotely operate a complex plant.
Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree, preferably in Chemical, Industrial, or Manufacturing.
Technical certifications or vocational training in process operations or a related field may be substituted for a degree.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and precision.
Excellent communication and the ability to collaborate effectively with maintenance, engineering, and production personnel.
Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights, and weekends.
Ability to travel within the United States and Canada as required.
