Responsibilities
- Own Scale's global policy strategy across all issue areas, including AI governance, federal procurement, international AI safety frameworks and more.
- Lead and grow a team of policy professionals, setting priorities and managing execution across a complex portfolio
- Serve as Scale's senior voice at trade associations, standards bodies, and industry coalitions; drive consensus on Scale's priority positions
- Lead Scale's response to Rulemakings, Requests for Comments, and regulatory proceedings across jurisdictions
- Build and maintain relationships with senior government officials, agency leads, and legislative staff in the US and internationally
Requirements

- The successful candidate will have a history of successfully driving successful Policy and Regulatory outcomes, and the ability to connect business objectives to policy wins. You will:
- experience in Policy or working in the Government •
- Experience successfully securing consensus for priorities at trade associations, standards bodies •
- Experience leading company response to Rulemakings, Request for Comments, etc.
- experience in the technology sector
- A history of managing multiple works streams simultaneously Nice to haves:

- For pay transparency purposes, the base salary range for this full-time position in the locations of San Francisco, New York, Seattle is: $197,600 — $272,000 USD Please reference the job posting's subtitle for where this position will be located.
- For pay transparency purposes, the base salary range for this full-time position in the locations of Washington DC, Texas, Colorado, Hawaii is: $177,600 — $245,000 USD

- experience such as publishing research/peer reviewed paper, covering technology policy as an issue area within the Government, working at a technical Government Agency within the Executive Branch, or
