Software Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with hardware, systems engineering, and program management stakeholders to align software development with program needs.
  • Lead projects using both Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies and contribute to BOEs, IMPs, and IMS planning.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues in real-time or legacy systems to support high‑stakes pilot training outcomes.
  • Coach, motivate, and develop engineers to achieve excellence in performance and career progression. Define roles and
  • responsibilities and guide the adoption of best‑practice engineering processes and tools. Support proposals, staffing plans, hiring, evaluations, and company communications.

Requirements

  • Requirements What You Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with hands‑on development in mission‑critical or real‑time systems.
  • Strong mastery of real‑time/embedded or simulation development experience.
  • Experience in integrating modern technology into legacy architectures.
  • Experience with tools such as Atlassian suite, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, and change‑control systems. Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Must be able to work overtime on and off-shifts as required.
