Responsibilities
- - Build out unified interface encapsulating dozens of third party payment integrations - Work on one of the pillar revenue centers of the organization - Take ownership of backend system architecture and implementation - Build performant and resilient data flows; keeping security in mind during every step - Work closely with product team to regularly ship working features - Work in an iterative fashion - Evaluate and deliver timeline estimates
Requirements
- Taptap Send is a cross-platform mobile app developed with React Native and TypeScript, which talks to a backend service written in Kotlin and backed by a PostgreSQL database, all of which runs on AWS and is managed via Terraform and Ansible.
- experience building backend systems - Proficiency with Kotlin or Java / JVM - Proficiency with PostgreSQL -
- Experience with AWS: S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda, etc. -
- Experience implementing and managing elaborate integrations with third-party APIs -
- Experience working on systems that have real-world performance and reliability constraints -
- Experience developing software in a collaborative, multi-functional, and fast-paced environment - Strong communication and ability to manage conflicting priorities, setting expectations with stakeholders and be a driving force Ideally: -
- Experience working with Infrastructure as Code technologies, like Terraform and Ansible -
- Experience with SRE or similar infrastructure work -
