Responsibilities
- Responsibilities - Design and implement digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms and wireless protocols in the PHY and MAC layers.
- - Deliver performant and robust production code targeted to software-defined radio (SDR) platforms using single-board computers and/or FPGAs.
- - Develop test automation frameworks and manage CI/CD pipelines to support unit, integration, and system testing of modems.
- - Create system performance visualizations to continuously monitor communication links.
- - Perform link budget analysis for satellite communication links and evaluate the selection of spacecraft radios and ground station products.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wireless communication, signal processing, and software engineering to drive innovation in next-generation satellite-based networks. Core
- - Evaluate the performance of algorithms in simulation (e.g., MATLAB, Python) prior to implementation.
- Qualifications - A Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. - Deep understanding of communication theory and signal processing related algorithms design, such as filter design, clock recovery, signal detection, channel estimation and equalization, channel coding. - Strong knowledge of some communications and networking standards, such as DVB-S2/DVB-S2X, and protocols, such as TCP/IP, UDP, ZeroMQ, Ethernet, etc. -
- Experience with C/C++, Python, MATLAB for algorithm development, modeling, and simulation. - Strong knowledge of software defined radios - SDRs and their implementation. - Proficiency in working with Linux based systems - Hands-on
- experience in lab testing & characterization. -
- Experience using test equipment like signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc. -
- Experience with implementing DSP algorithms in HDL, such as SystemVerilog, VHDL is a plus. - Knowledge of the 3GPP standards, including LTE and 5G PHY, MAC, and RRC specifications is a plus.
