Senior Director, Product Management

Responsibilities

  • Own the Card domain end-to-end •
  • Lead the US direct to consumer card products (Affirm Cards, and in app virtual cards) •
  • Oversee our Card Platform (authorization, ledgering, servicing, controls) which powers the D2C products both domestically and internationally, along with a number of merchant and partner integrations. •
  • Build and scale a high-performing product organization •
  • Manage and develop a team of PMs and PM leaders •
  • Establish product standards, operating cadence, and decision frameworks •
  • Build a durable org that delivers high-quality outcomes without direct involvement in every decision
  • Drive business outcomes at scale •
  • Own GMV, engagement, unit economics, and credit outcomes for the Card domain •
  • Shape investment strategy, tradeoffs, and resource allocation across multiple product areas •
  • Lead platform strategy and execution •
  • Drive platform capabilities that unlock velocity across Affirm (APIs, controls, servicing systems) •
  • Ensure the Card Platform scales reliably across use cases, geographies, and partners
  • Align senior stakeholders across Engineering, Design, Credit, Legal, Partnerships, and GTM •
  • Build strong relationships with external partners (networks, processors, wallet providers) •
  • Track record of owning large domains or business lines with meaningful financial impact

Requirements

  • experience leading multi-team product areas or platforms •
  • Experience managing managers and building high-performing PM teams •
  • Proven ability to create systems, processes, and culture that scale
  • Experience in payments, cards, fintech, or adjacent infrastructure •
  • Affirmers in proximal roles have the flexibility to work remotely, but will occasionally be required to work out of their assigned Affirm office.
