Requirements
- experience in Electrical Design within a high-integrity environment (Defense, Aerospace, Nuclear, or Rail).
- Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or SolidWorks Electrical).
- Deep understanding of power distribution , control circuitry , and PCB integration .
- Experience designing for harsh environments (IP ratings, thermal management, and ruggedisation).
- Knowledge of maritime defense standards and certification processes is highly desirable.
- Qualifications: Degree (BEng/MEng) in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline. Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it is a plus.

- Responsibilities System Design: Lead the electrical design of complex enclosures, power distribution units, and control systems for naval applications. Technical Specification: Interpret customer
- requirements to produce detailed technical specifications, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials (BOM).
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs adhere to maritime and defense standards (e.g., Def Stan 59-411, 61-5) regarding EMC, shock, and environmental protection.
- Lifecycle Management: Manage projects from initial concept through to prototype, testing, and production handover.
- Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical engineers and production teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical components into ruggedised enclosures.
- Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and peer reviews for junior members of the engineering team.
