Responsibilities
- Analyze financial and operational data to support tax reporting requirements, identify potential issues, and recommend process improvements.
- Research tax laws, regulations, and technical matters to support compliance activities and identify potential tax savings opportunities.
- Prepare account reconciliations, maintain supporting documentation, and ensure the completeness and accuracy of tax-related records.
- Develop and provide reports, analyses, and supporting data to business partners and stakeholders.
- Collaborate across departments to resolve issues, improve compliance processes, and support changing business needs.
Requirements
- What You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- experience in transaction tax, sales and use tax, indirect tax compliance, or related accounting/tax functions.
- Knowledge of transaction tax regulations, compliance requirements, and accounting principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data effectively.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills.
- Qualifications: Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification or progress toward certification. Public accounting experience.
- Experience supporting tax audits and responding to regulatory inquiries.
