Responsibilities

Train operators and new controls employees in job duties and
responsibilities as assigned. May be assigned to work in lower operator classification on a rotating basis. Ensure the plant operates safely and remains in compliance with plant permit
Monitor and operate multiple turbine units using SCADA controls (experience with Ovations and Mark 6E preferred).
Prepare and maintain proper LOTO clearances using eSOMS, and SAP within Xcel's safety protocols. Required

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Must work rotating shifts.
Must commit to working safely and adhere to Company safety rules including wearing a hardhat, safety toe footwear, and protective eye wear, and Proper Protective Equipment (PPE).
Must have Control Board Operator experience, completed a control operator/specialist apprenticeship (or equivalent), and with a minimum of 2 years’
Candidates will be required to pass a written and practical test prior to selection.
Knowledge of equipment operation such as pumps, control valves, motor controls with integrated power plant operations
Successfully pass the Xcel Energy screening requirements, which include a drug screening test and a general security clearance.

The hourly pay of this position is $63.95.
