Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive maintenance and visual alignments to ensure optimal simulator performance and regulatory compliance.
- Execute and evaluate FAA Approval Test Guide (ATG) and Qualification Test Guide (QTG) procedures.
- Lead and coordinate shift activities in collaboration with technical management, Group Leader, and Maintenance Planner & Controller.
- Support engineering teams with design changes, software enhancements, and hardware modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using the maintenance management system.
- Ensure compliance with CAE’s quality management system and safety standards.
- Deliver responsive customer service and assist in resolving client concerns.
- Perform logistics functions including parts handling, repair coordination, and validation.
- Make operational decisions in the absence of management to ensure continuity of service. Qualifications &
Requirements
- The Role CAE is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Simulator Technician III to join our Perth team.
- Experience A 4-year technical degree or equivalent related training.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct simulator experience, with at least 3 years relevant to the assigned location.
- Proficiency in using test equipment and software diagnostics on at least one simulator type.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to support hardware modifications and upgrades.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one major simulator system (e.g., motion, visual, aircraft systems).
- Experience in delivering technical training and mentoring team members.
