Responsibilities
- Perform bulk RNA-Seq, scRNA-Seq, CITE-Seq, ATAC-Seq, and other immune profiling single-cell assays. •
- Prepare and QC RNA and DNA samples for sequencing. •
- Perform routine maintenance, operation and troubleshooting of 10x Genomics, Illumina, and high-throughput robotic automation instrumentation. •
- Perform spatial transcriptomics using 10x Visium or similar technologies. •
Requirements
- Axle is seeking a Genomics Technician to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) supporting the Center for Human Immunology, Autoimmunity, and Inflammation (CHI).
- Created in 2009, CHI is focused on combining scientific expertise, advanced technologies and tailored informatics, to better understand human immune function and pathophysiology.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related field. •
- experience preparing NGS and/or 10x libraries and performing Illumina sequencing. •
- Familiarity with bioinformatics/sequence analysis is desirable but not required. •
- Experience with spatial transcriptomics technologies, specifically 10x Visium or VisiumHD, is required.
- Individuals may be required to perform duties outside of their position, job description or responsibilities as needed.
