Responsibilities
- - Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and increase throughput.
- - Conduct data analysis and generate actionable insights to guide process improvements and decision-making.
- - Support the development and implementation of performance metrics, KPIs, and other tools to track and improve production efficiency.
- - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, operations) to ensure that new products or changes to existing products are optimized for manufacturability.
Requirements
- You will work closely with our engineering, operations, and production teams to enhance our ability to deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
- QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field. - At least 3 years of
- experience in industrial engineering, with a strong background in material flow, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and data analytics. - Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Minitab, or other statistical software. - Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and workflow optimization. -
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.) and ability to implement them effectively.
- - Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt) is a plus.
- - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and develop practical solutions.
- - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- - Familiarity with production environments, preferably in high-tech, defense, or maritime industries.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours/day - Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 20 lbs.
