Requirements
- Come join the Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) at Carilion Clinic, where we offer state of the art technology in the area’s only Level 1 Trauma Center Carilion’s Cardiovascular Institute (CVI).
- Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Current ARDMS or ARRT Sonography certification in an applicable specialty area required.
- AHA BLS-HCP certification required. Other Minimum
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care and maintain confidentiality.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and function effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- This is for a Weekend position working Saturday, Sunday, and Monday 7:00am-7:30pm. No on call shifts.

- responsibilities to include: Transthoracic echocardiograms, Transesophageal echocardiograms, Contrast and agitated saline studies, Clinical trials and research, Low dose Dobutamine stress testing for aortic stenosis, Cardiac surgery OR procedures.
- Cardiac structural procedures to include: Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) Transcatheter mitral valve repair (MitraClip) Left atrial appendage closure (Watchman) PFO and ASD closure Impella left ventricular support device Left ventricular remodeling (clinical trial)
- Experience: Experienced sonographer with hospital-based Experience: None.
- Specialty areas may include Abdomen, OB/GYN, Breast, Vascular, or Neurosonography.
- Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills required.
