Senior Software Engineer - Backend

Responsibilities

Design and develop application frameworks and SDKs, creating reusable libraries, components, and tools that empower engineering teams to build robust, scalable applications more efficiently
Implement best practices for Kubernetes optimisation, building applications that account for state, restarts, continuous delivery, and GitOps principles
Develop storage system integrations, creating interfaces and abstractions for relational databases, NoSQL, and event-driven or streaming architectures such as PubSub
Drive technical standards by collaborating with teams across the organisation to establish and promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and architectural patterns
Support adoption and provide guidance to engineering teams through documentation, examples, and direct assistance

experience with a focus on building maintainable, scalable systems
Strong proficiency in Go, Erlang, Elixir, or TypeScript, with the capability and drive to learn new languages as needed •
Experience building SDKs and libraries, ideally in a professional capacity or through open-source projects with reasonable traction
Kubernetes expertise for building applications optimised to run on k8s, with an understanding of state management, restarts, continuous delivery, and GitOps principles
Knowledge of database and messaging systems, including relational databases, NoSQL, and event-driven or streaming architectures such as PubSub
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse engineering teams and explain complex technical concepts to varied stakeholders What we offer
