Responsibilities
- Support circuit optimization efforts, including field checks, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking, and performance monitoring to sustain operational success.
- Conduct field checks and contribute to system validation for new projects.
- Develop and implement online production monitoring dashboards using PI visualization tools.
- Support KPI reviews by gathering data and aligning metrics with production targets.
- Assist in identifying root causes of operational challenges and propose solutions to enhance efficiency, identifying and reducing risk.
Requirements
- experience in engineering applications within an industrial setting, allowing you to develop technical skills and gain valuable insight into process optimization.
- What you’ll need: Third year of higher level or above by January 2027 pursuing a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineer, Industrial Systems Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Process Engineer 72% or higher Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment. 1-2 years of
- experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred. Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.
- Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete post-offer/pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.
- Basic computer skills are required
- Experience working in a team environment is a must Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable Effective verbal communication skills is a plus Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job.

- Production at Colonsay began in 1968, and the site is famous for its red-colored potash, which is from the clay around the ore body.

- As a Process Engineering Co-Op/Intern , you will support mill process improvements, assist with process modeling, and contribute to ongoing site initiatives.
- Term January 11, 2027 to December 17, 2027 Full time Co-Op/Internship.
- Typically, 36-40 hours a week. in person. 9/80 schedule if applicable.
- What you’ll do: As an intern, you will be immersed in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, performing a mix of fieldwork, data analysis, report writing, and database maintenance.
