Sr Tax Accountant

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns, gross receipts tax returns, personal property tax renditions, and handle other indirect tax reporting. •
  • Own and manage the corporate tax calendar to guarantee timely filing and payment of all tax obligations. •
  • Support vital tax accounting activities, including complex account reconciliations and tight month-end close processes. •
  • Research evolving tax laws and regulations to proactively assess their impact on our business operations. •
  • Review transactions and business activities to ensure proper tax treatment and identify potential tax exposures before they become issues. •
  • Collaborate seamlessly across departments (Accounting, Procurement, Payroll, IT) and with external consultants on all tax-related matters. •
  • Identify, champion, and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to streamline the tax function. •
  • Support leadership with special strategic projects as the company scales. What You’ll Bring •

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field. •
  • CPA or similar active certification is highly preferred. •
  • General Ledger accounting experience is required. •
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel and Word). • Strong
  • experience with major ERP systems ( Oracle
  • experience is highly preferred ; NetSuite, SAP, or similar is acceptable). •
  • Familiarity with GSuite (Gmail, Sheets, Google Docs). •
  • Experience with tax automation software is a strong plus. •

Experience

  • 3+ years of progressive tax or accounting experience, with hands-on exposure to both income tax and indirect tax compliance. •
