Good knowledge of structural mechanics/dynamics and/or fluid dynamics Good knowledge of Finite Element Analysis fundamentals , especially nonlinear FEA Working knowledge of FEA tools such as Abaqus, Ansys etc. Working knowledge of 3D CAD (SolidWorks, CATIA V5, etc...) software and their applications is preferred Programming or scripting skills such as Python etc. are considered a plus.
Basic applied statistics, Design of Experiments and multi-regression modeling, cause-and-effect analysis, risk analysis, lean principles Ability to accomplish assignments in a logical fashion, using existing technology and standardized methodologies Demonstrates strong analytical skills and innovative problem-solving, emphasizing cooperative teamwork Ability to form strong working relationships with Goodyear associates (Global & cross-functional) and customers Effectively communicates and sells ideas
