Responsibilities
- Design and govern hybrid architectures during phased migration from on‑premises to Cloud.
- Lead workload migration strategies (rehost, re‑platform, refactor, retire) to balance speed, risk, and value.
- Cloud Platform & Cloud‑Native Enablement Architect Cloud platforms including landing zones, identity, networking, security, HA, and DR. Establish standardised Cloud reference architectures and blueprints to accelerate application onboarding.
- Enable self‑service, repeatable platforms that reduce delivery lead time for application and product teams.
- Drive adoption of cloud‑native services to simplify operations and improve scalability and cost efficiency.
- Build and govern Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
- Introduce AIOps and intelligent automation for predictive monitoring, self‑healing, and faster incident resolution.
- Reduce environment provisioning time, manual effort, and operational cost through standardisation and automation.
- Improve platform availability, reduce incidents, and optimise recovery objectives (RTO/RPO).
- Ensure hosting platforms meet security, audit, and regulatory requirements.
- Cloud Migration & Hybrid Architecture Define and own Fortrea’s target‑state Cloud hosting architecture aligned to business and technology strategy.
Requirements
- Job Overview: The Hosting Architect will lead Fortrea’s enterprise transition from on premises datacenters to Hyperscaler, delivering a modern, resilient, and automated hosting platform that accelerates application delivery and business innovation.
- This role owns the target state Azure and hybrid hosting architecture, governs large scale cloud migration, and modernizes operations through automation, Infrastructure as Code, and AI driven operations.
- Automation, IaC & AI‑Led Operations Implement an automation‑first operating model across hybrid and Cloud environments.
- Qualifications (Minimum Required): Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to present complex architectural concepts to senior leadership, technical teams, and non‑technical stakeholders.
