Responsibilities
- Hire, mentor, and support software engineers while fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment.
- Drive successful software delivery .
- Lead sprint planning and execution, ensuring your team delivers high-quality, scalable software that meets business, customer, security, and technical requirements.
- Champion responsible AI adoption .
- Facilitate the thoughtful adoption of AI-assisted, agentic development tools and establish team practices for validating and safely incorporating AI-generated code and technical recommendations.
- Build and maintain innovative VoiceAI solutions .
- Promote engineering excellence.
- Review code through pull requests, support CI/CD practices, and help continuously improve engineering processes, software quality, and team effectiveness.
Requirements
- Job Description: Title : Manager, Software Engineering Team: VoiceAI Location : Remote Canada (EST or CST) Why This Role Exists As a Manager of Software Engineering on the VoiceAI team, you’ll help shape the future of healthcare by leading a talented, distributed engineering team responsible for building and evolving AI-powered voice solutions that improve the patient experience.
- This role combines people leadership, technical execution, and delivery accountability while helping your team thoughtfully adopt AI-assisted, agentic development practices to deliver secure, high-quality software at scale.
- experience building and supporting highly distributed applications using Microsoft .NET (C#) or Java.
- experience designing, building, or integrating Voice AI agents and LLM-powered workflows into production systems.
- Have successfully adopted or led the use of AI-assisted development tools, including coding assistants, AI-powered testing, documentation generation, or code generation tools.
- Have established engineering practices for reviewing, validating, and safely incorporating AI-generated code. Have
- experience with MySQL, DynamoDB, cloud-native architectures, RESTful APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Are comfortable building or supporting modern web applications using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and frameworks such as React or Angular. Have
- experience deploying and operating distributed systems on AWS. Have
- experience managing contractors and external vendors.
- Requirements To Check Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline required. 8+ years of
- experience leading software engineering teams. 3+ years of project management
- experience delivering successful software releases.
