Responsibilities
- Negotiate budgets and contractual terms with industry sponsors, government agencies, and external partners.
- Manage a portfolio of clinical trial grants and contracts, ensuring timely execution and overall financial integrity.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, institutional policies, and sponsor
- Perform advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis to support planning and decision-making.
- Monitor portfolio performance, identify financial risks and opportunities, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Lead and contribute to financial process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting.
Requirements
- Headquartered in Roanoke, Va., you will find a robust system of award-winning hospitals, Level 1 and 3 trauma centers, Level 3 NICU, Institute of Orthopedics and Neurosciences, multi-specialty physician practices, and The Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and Research Institute.
- Other duties assigned. What We Require: Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting, or business administration. 4 years of
- experience may be accepted in lieu of bachelor's degree.
- Qualifications: Strong oral and written communications skills, analytical, organizational and time management skills, MS Office skills, Advanced knowledge of Excel, ability to learn job-specific software.
- Performs detailed work timely with a high degree of accuracy and can ensure reasonableness of work.
