Responsibilities
- Ensure that PMTs are carried out according to the standards, and signed off.
- Ensure that all recurrent QTG runs are done, and ensure that deficiencies associated to recurrent runs are actioned in a timely manner, and followed up on until closure.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve training device issues.
- Schedule and coordinate hardware and software integration tasks with other groups.
- Coordinate and review technical/operational deliverables prior to submission to customer.
- Support the development of close working relationship between CAE UK and other CAE geographical entities to promote the reuse of core products and technologies Maintain currency with software related technical advances and their application to CAE solutions.
Requirements
- Thorough understanding of configuration management systems, hardware interfaces, and software development.
- Required to travel to multiple locations within the UK to support a number of CAE customers and projects Maybe required to travel outside the UK for ad hoc support requests Minimum
- experience in the field of simulation or similar. Good
- experience of working with Hardware, Software and electronics Good PC & network skills are required Flexible to travel and be away from home from time to time – sometimes at short notice Will need to be resident in the Lincolnshire area Either holds or is able to obtain UK security clearance (requires at least 5 years UK residency) Must have existing rights to live and work in the UK Preferred experience match the
Additional details
- This is an exciting role where you will be a key member of a small team responsible for maintaining CAE simulators and their ancillary support systems (Scenario generation and debrief).
- This role will be based at RAF Waddington in support of the MQ-9B Protector simulators You will assist the RAF with the maintenance and repair of the simulation devices (hardware and software).
- Key Tasks Support the Flight Simulator Training Devices.
