Responsibilities
- Support medication access and affordability through patient advocacy, financial coordination, and assistance program facilitation.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely medication delivery, accurate documentation, and high-quality patient service.
Requirements

- MUST HAVE OR BE READY TO OBTAIN VA REGISTRY The Pharmacy Technician Review and update the patient's medication records for pharmacist review and physician ordering.
- experience as a pharmacy technician and
- experience in relevant practice setting. What We Require: Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Registration with the Virginia Department of Health Professionals required.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Certification relevant to work area is required within 6 months of hire. Other Minimum
- Qualifications: Must be able to maintain familiarity with a large number (1000-2000) of medications and focused on attention to detail/accuracy.
- Requires knowledge and use of general office equipment and procedures, including computer/keyboard.
- Must be able to solve simple mathematical and logistical problems in the work environment.

- This role involves obtaining accurate medication histories from patients in the fast-paced Emergency Department, entering and updating data into the computer system, using automated medication dispensing equipment, and assisting and supporting pharmacists in the pharmaceutical care of our patients. *SIGN-ON BONUS for new hires up to $12,500
- The incumbents may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those stated in this description. Compensation Range: $18.70 - $26.18 Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience.
