Responsibilities
- Model and draw components, structures, and manifolds for the spacecraft and its supporting structures
- Develop, ideate, and document considerate practices that enable good and efficient design
Requirements
- As an Astranis CAD Engineer you will design, develop, configure, and maintain spacecraft components and assemblies like bracketry, harnesses, propulsion manifolds, and waveguides.
- You must have a strong problem-solving background, an enthusiasm for novel design, and designing in complex systems.
- Experience with spacecraft is a benefit but is not required. Role
- Works with the management of top-level spacecraft assemblies in CAD, as well as create and maintain BOMs in the transfer to production
- Experience with SolidWorks •
- Experience with GD+T and engineering drawings
- Experience with design of complex assemblies and components •
- Experience in the design of spaceflight components and/or vacuum compatible systems •
- Experience with surface modeling

- 1-3 years of experience in a design role •

- The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the position.
- Base Salary $105,000 — $130,000 USD U.S.
