Responsibilities
- Program and operate Haas CNC mills and lathes using SolidWorks/CAM workflows.
- Manufacture precise prototype parts using manual mills, manual lathes, and 3D printers.
- Review engineering drawings for clarity and manufacturability; provide DFM input to engineering teams.
- Design and produce basic fixtures and tooling to support CNC operations.
- Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, bore gauges, height measurement systems, and other precision metrology tools.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements.
- Maintain equipment, tooling inventories, and shop documentation. What will you need to be successful?
Requirements
- They review engineering prints, provide basic DFM/manufacturability feedback, and support CNC programming and fixture design using SolidWorks and related CAM tools.
- Strong proficiency in manual machining and CNC setup/operation.
- Ability to create or modify CAM programs and fixture designs in SolidWorks.
- Solid understanding of GD&T, tolerancing, and precision measurement techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with cross-functional engineering teams. You Unlimited.
Experience
- 3–5 years of machining or prototype fabrication experience, preferably in a precision or regulated industry.
