Responsibilities
- Develop treatment recommendations and management plans for a variety of urologic conditions.
- Collaborate with urologists and other members of the healthcare team to deliver coordinated, high-quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
Requirements
- Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain).

- experience may be required for some specialties.
- If Nurse Practitioner, license to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia is required.
- Life Support: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as required, specific to position. Other Minimum
- Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.

- Position Summary The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will provide comprehensive evaluation and management of patients in the outpatient Urology clinic.
- Schedule Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Outpatient clinic setting No hospital rounding required
- Responsibilities Evaluate and manage new and established patients in the outpatient Urology clinic.
- Obtain comprehensive medical histories, perform physical examinations, and assess patient symptoms.
- Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing and imaging results.
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and follow-up care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support Carilion Clinic's commitment to exceptional patient care.
- Current Virginia licensure (or eligibility for licensure).
