NVH Engineer

Responsibilities

Integrate tire design teams and provide design and analyses recommendations to meet NVH performance targets.
Investigate root causes, develop appropriate countermeasures, and summarize findings in technical reports.
Further develop, implement, and apply advanced lab and on-vehicle tire testing and innovative NVH analyses.
Support virtual tire development process by applying NVH performance prediction technologies (FEA, data-driven …).
Collaborate with other Global NVH team members on knowledge capture and globalization.
Develop and demonstrate creativity and innovation capacity.
Leverage our latest tire/vehicle testing capabilities and modeling/simulation technologies to derisk NVH performance in consumer tire product development projects.

To join our team, you will need: Education: Master’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive or Aerospace engineering or similar domain, with focus on NVH or acoustics.
Strong theoretical knowledge in structural dynamics and acoustics.
Knowledge of other languages (e.g.
experience in vehicle Noise and Vibration/Uniformity assessment using experimental and/or modeling methods. Practical
experience with vibration and acoustic instrumentation, data acquisition, signal processing and analysis methods
Experience using commercial NVH data acquisition and analysis tools from HEAD acoustics HBK, Siemens/LMS or others.
Experience with numerical simulation tools like Abaqus, Nastran or Ansys with focus on NVH is a plus.
Experience with statistical tools like JMP , Minitab or others is an asset.
Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and to transfer technology to practical applications.
High proficiency with MS Office, and programming skills with general purpose software like Matlab, Python, ...

Engage with vehicle OEMs to shape our virtual tire/vehicle development process for efficiency, quality and robustness.
Familiar with finite element analysis (FEA) technique and/or data-science is an asset.
