- JOB SUMMARY Job Profile Summary Perform advanced level work related to gas and/or liquids pipeline system operations acting as a subject matter expert.
- Responsibilities Perform and/or coordinate, diagnoses and troubleshoots complex pipeline operations and maintenance activities on systems including compressor stations, gas storages, dehydration facilities, pumping facilities, measurement facilities, and related equipment which may include, but is not limited to: Startup and shutdown Pigging Collecting liquids Changing charts Gauging tanks Locating and marking lines Monitoring cathodic protection/basic pipe coatings Leakage survey/patrolling pipelines
- Experience Following job related experience required:
- Experience in various field functions including measurement, cathodic protection, and compressor/pump station operations
- Experience in maintenance and the repair of equipment
- Experience and training related to: Company and governmental operating/safety procedures and enviornmental regulations Characteristics of natural gas and gas liquids Pigging pipeline, blowing drips, gauging tanks, and collecting liquids Construction methods Transmission and/or gathering system operations Emergency response procedures Communication skills
- Experience in patrolling pipelines, performing leakage surveys, and locating/marking lines
- Experience in working with valves and dehydration equipment, scrubbers, and separators
- Experience in use and function of applications such as: Microsoft Excel, Project, Access, Word, etc.
- Experience with cathodic protection/corrosion control activities Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to: use tools and equipment including computers and related software Ability to: establish and prioritize multiple complex assignments with competing deadlines in a timely manner requesting assistance as needed Ability to: apply math, algebraic formulas and programmed based statistical methods Ability to: apply the use of formulas to estimate or calculate flow rates and volumes Ability to: use logic and
