Responsibilities

Ensure equipment and facility are capable of supporting the production
Manage the departmental budget and coordinate activities of the maintenance department in a timely manner.
Develop objectives and standards of performance for projects within maintenance and facilities required to meet departmental and corporate goals and objectives.
Directly oversee, supervise, and develop a team of maintenance and facilities technicians, including performance management, coaching, scheduling, and daily work direction.
Assure that production equipment is capable of producing within the specifications.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Minimum of 8 years of
experience in building operations, manufacturing environments, and maintenance.
Demonstrated ability to balance technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking to drive results through effective supervision and team development.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to utilize tools for analysis, communication, and reporting.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Maintenance and Facilities Manager is responsible for planning, directing and effectively managing plant maintenance of all buildings, ground functions, security and the production maintenance team at our Des Moines, IA plant. PRIMARY
Accountable for the preventive maintenance program and maintenance of production equipment and facilities.
Plans, schedules and directs in-house staff and external contractors in the maintenance of company buildings and grounds.
Develops and maintains an operating budget to ensure that such maintenance is carried out on a cost-effective basis.
Ensures operational facility by overseeing the regular maintenance of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning.
Plans, develops and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimizing operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
