Responsibilities

- requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of Group guidelines, completion of required training, and monitoring compliance Proactively manage safety and health of employees to continuously improve the company’s safety and health performance Who we are looking for: Post-Secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety A minimum of 10 years of relevant hands-on safety
- Experience and competence in developing and implementing safety programs Strong management, interpersonal, and influencing skills at all levels from senior operations to plant level employees Strong claims management
- experience Proven coaching and teaching abilities Ability to form, facilitate, and maintain internal and cross functional teams Strong Microsoft Office skills Work Environment: The position will travel up to 50% and support our operations across British Columbia.

- Reporting to the Area Manager of Health & Safety, the ideal candidate will have a strong WorkSafeBC background in heavy manufacturing, building materials and/or construction.

- This position can be based in Kelowna, Vancouver, Sunshine Coast or Vancouver Island and requires travel throughout those markets.
