Requirements
- Come join the Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) at Carilion Clinic, where we offer state of the art technology in the area’s only Level 1 Trauma Center Carilion’s Cardiovascular Institute (CVI).
- experience preferred, but new registered graduates are encouraged to apply Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Registered Cardiac Sonographer - ARDMS/CCI in adult echo, BLS required. Assesses patients for procedures ordered prior to, during, and after treatment according to Imaging Services/Departmental Guidelines.
- Graduate of approved School of Ultrasound or equivalent training.
- Experience: none Licensure, certification, and/or registration : ARRT registry/ARDMS in one of the following areas: OB/Gyn, Abd or Neurosonography.
- CPR certification required.

- Experience: Experienced sonographer with hospital-based
- Operates highly specialized equipment, including radiographic, CR (Computed Radiography), DR (Digital Radiography), and PACS (Picture Archive Communication System).
- Creates a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
- Interprets information needed to identify each patients requirement and/or specific needs, and provides care per applicable policy and procedures.
