Requirements

  • A high level of importance is placed on quality, timeliness, customer service, effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • You maintain proficiency and develop diagnostic skills through regular continuing education.
  • What You Will Need to Succeed: You are fluent in German and English You are familiar with current topics and issues in clinical veterinary medicine.
  • Computer skills are required.
  • Experience in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory is preferred.
  • Certifications: Board certification in clinical pathology - American College of Veterinary Pathology (ACVP) or European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology (ECVCP) preferred.

Additional details

  • As a Clinical Pathologist the majority of your duties involve, but are not limited to, providing clients with diagnostic evaluation in the area of clinical pathology and providing necessary follow-up consultation.
  • In This Role: You are responsible for gross and/or microscopic examination of clinical pathology specimens and preparation of pathology reports in a timely manner.
  • You will meet caseload and turnaround expectations.
  • You are responsible for providing telephone consultations to clients.
  • You consult with and assist other pathologists as needed to promote collegiality.
  • You will partner with, advise and assist laboratory personnel in proper specimen processing techniques and function as the pathologist on duty.
  • You promote the growth of IDEXX by actively participating in pathologist meetings and developing and maintaining professional relationships/contact with clients.
  • responsibilities to allow the pathologist to engage in other professional activities as approved by management. Such activities should improve the function or professional reputation of IDEXX.
