Social Media Consultant

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies, including annual social media plans, that support organizational goals and elevate the Carilion brand.
  • Develop platform-specific strategies and oversee Carilion's presence across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, and emerging social media channels.
  • Create, edit, and publish engaging social media content, including copy, graphics, photography, and video.
  • Lead organic and paid social media campaigns from planning through execution and optimization.
  • Manage social media content calendars and oversee daily publishing, engagement, and community management.
  • Collaborate with communications, marketing, and organizational leaders to integrate social media into broader campaigns and initiatives.
  • Monitor social media trends, platform updates, competitor activity, and audience behavior to identify opportunities and recommend strategic improvements.
  • Track, analyze, and report social media performance, adjusting strategies based on audience engagement, campaign results, and organizational objectives.
  • Monitor brand sentiment and identify emerging issues, opportunities, and reputational trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • experience in social media, communications, marketing, journalism, or digital content strategy.
  • Experience managing paid and organic social media campaigns.
  • Experience using social media management, monitoring, and analytics tools.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. What Makes You Successful

Benefits

  • Incumbents may be required to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description. Compensation Range: $57,616.00 - $86,424.00 Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience.
