Responsibilities
- Enhance and refactor existing components based on
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement new features, fix defects, and improve application performance.
- Write clean, secure, and efficient code following software engineering best practices and coding standards.
- Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code quality, reliability, and performance.
- Troubleshoot application issues, debug defects, and support production incidents.
- Build and maintain tools to support and automate development, testing, and release processes.
Requirements
- What You'll Do Develop, test, debug, and maintain backend applications for payment systems using Python , modern frameworks (Django/Flask/Fast API), RESTful APIs, and ORM technologies.
- experience in Python backend development . Good understanding of OOP concepts, SOLID principles, and clean coding practices . Hands-on
- experience with Python frameworks (Django / Flask / Fast API). Basic
- experience in designing and consuming RESTful APIs .
- Familiarity with relational databases ( PostgreSQL / MySQL / SQL Server ) and ORM tools (SQL Alchemy / Django ORM).
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum practices.
- Basic debugging and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse and fix issues.
- Experience in payments domain is an added advantage.
- Good to have: Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Knowledge of logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Kibana).
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT).
- Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. 2+ years of
- experience in Python application development.

- This position will be based in our India Technology Center, located in Bangalore, India.
- You would be in a critical role coordinating with external stakeholders for clarifying
- requirements and resolving issues of the payment product.
