Strategic Sourcing Lead

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and deployment of the category strategies, standards and procedures for the area of responsibility to drive demonstrated efficiency and improve the position of the company.
  • Lead key initiatives and projects that drive value across the enterprise and/or categories.
  • Develop, leverage, and influence critical relationships with key stakeholders and organizations that foster improvements in the areas of cost, quality, delivery and process.
  • Lead category reviews as necessary with the Strategic Sourcing Manager and leadership.
  • Lead complex negotiations and ensure agreements properly address risk and sustainability, balancing cost with operational considerations, utilizing the category strategy or Strategic Sourcing Manager as appropriate for mentoring and development.
  • Research and assess viable sources on a global level, perform supplier analysis and successfully onboard.
  • Lead cross functional, complex supplier selection process to minimize total landed cost and delivery the greatest overall value to the organization, including: RFx development, release, and evaluation Contract and SLA development Negotiation strategy development and implementation Final contract execution Develop and implement new sourcing tools and lead initiatives to improve existing tools.

Requirements

  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of the category and/or product develop sourcing deliverables as it relates to business requirements, risk, market trends, supply base capabilities, cost factors, and the effect on quality and reliability on the company’s objectives.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS Required BA or BS in Supply Chain, Business Management, Engineering, or related field of study. Demonstrated
  • experience in Operations, Supply Chain Planning, Sourcing or related functional area.
  • Ability to develop business case evaluations, have a strong background in market research, and ability to negotiate win-win contracts and solutions.
  • Possesses a broad understanding of short- and long-term corporate strategies and their implications on their assigned category strategies.
