Requirements

- Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required or eligibility to obtain licensure required.
- Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required.
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area. Other Minimum
- Qualifications: Keyboarding skills and computer literacy required, including use of electronic medical records.
- For Behavioral Health roles, de-escalation training must be completed within 1 year of hire and maintained.
- For OB/GYN roles, EFM NCC certification required per department policy.
- Career Advancement Program: RNs are eligible to participate in the Career Advancement Program (CAP) to attain various levels of advancement based on performance criteria.

- Collaborates with members of the health care team/patient/family to develop, implement, and evaluate interdisciplinary plan of care.
- Facilitates resolution between patient and staff if needed. Determines and performs within clinical, leadership, and/or education pathways to support (direct/indirect) evidenced based, quality patient care service and performance improvement.
- Manages resources, establishes priorities, and modifies environment to meet patient care needs.
- Incumbents may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description. Compensation Range: $33.52 - $50.28 Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience.

- Admission and ongoing assessments are completed, documented and used to develop a plan of care.
- Revises plan according to changes in patient status.
- Administers treatments and medications for patients and documents utilizing automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
- Identifies patient/family (caregiver) educational needs, incorporates into care plan.
