- Proficient with completing required computer documents (BOL’s, LTL’s, Load Tickets) Fills in for the Supervisor and ensures the department stays on production.
- Qualifications EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) Valid Driver License Required to Drive a Forklift Required to use power hand tools Ability to read different measuring devices (i.e. tape measure, protractor, micometer)
- Experience in Loading manufacturing and/or construction materials PHYSICAL
- REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment Some knowledge of a manufacturing environment.

- RESPONSIBILITIES Guide and oversee the production team’s diverse activities, such as operating machinery, managing production lines, processing materials, packaging products, and organizing inventory.
- Understands and follows safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and around a manufacturing environment.
- Package, crate, or load items to insure safe arrival and capacity loading.
- Packages parts using various crating and packaging materials (such as metal bands and coverings), to secure and protect parts during shipment.
- Capable of operating forklifts and other lifting equipment.
- Responsible for each lift and decides when to check actual vs. maximum allowable trailer load.
- Constantly checks each load to ensure job completion and expedites work to meet production schedules.
- Unloads and checks items against freight bills, packing lists, or shipping notices.
- Makes notations of damages, shortages and other irregularities and notify area leader.
- Provides on-the-job direction to new shipping/warehouse employees and others assisting in shipping/warehouse tasks.
