- Employment Status: Full time Shift: Weekends Only (United States of America) Facility: 1906 Belleview Ave SE - Roanoke Requisition Number: R160677 Rad Tech Assistant - Weekend Days (Open) How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare: The Radiology Technologist Assistant transports and/or escorts patients to and from diagnostic testing areas.
- They assist technologists with patient positioning, prepping patients, and documenting information within the EMR. The Radiology Technologist Assistant Greets visitors/patients and facilitates meeting their needs and facility needs.
- Transports patients via appropriate mode of transportation to and from Imaging Services.
- Assists patients to ensure safe transfer between wheelchairs/stretchers and imaging equipment.
- Assists with positioning and prepping of patients.
- May prep the patient by gaining appropriate IV access for the administration of saline and/or contrast.
- Receives and screens in-coming calls via telephone and patient call system.
- Routes calls to appropriate individual and takes messages as needed.
- Assists physicians with retrieving report information from dictation system.
- Maintains cleanliness and neatness of equipment, patient areas and work areas.
