Employment Status: Full time Shift: Weekends Only (United States of America) Facility: 1906 Belleview Ave SE - Roanoke Requisition Number: R160677 Rad Tech Assistant - Weekend Days (Open) How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare: The Radiology Technologist Assistant transports and/or escorts patients to and from diagnostic testing areas.
They assist technologists with patient positioning, prepping patients, and documenting information within the EMR. The Radiology Technologist Assistant Greets visitors/patients and facilitates meeting their needs and facility needs.
Transports patients via appropriate mode of transportation to and from Imaging Services.
Assists patients to ensure safe transfer between wheelchairs/stretchers and imaging equipment.
Assists with positioning and prepping of patients.
May prep the patient by gaining appropriate IV access for the administration of saline and/or contrast.
Receives and screens in-coming calls via telephone and patient call system.
Routes calls to appropriate individual and takes messages as needed.
Assists physicians with retrieving report information from dictation system.
Maintains cleanliness and neatness of equipment, patient areas and work areas.
