Responsibilities

- Optimize for Scale—build resilient, fault-tolerant systems that handle millions of transactions.
- Collaborate Closely with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams to deliver seamless experiences.
- Ensure High Availability—implement robust API architectures, distributed systems, and database optimizations.
- Own System Design—architect backend services that are modular, extensible, and scalable.
- Own backend design and execution, solving complex engineering problems at scale.

What We Need - 6-10 years in backend development, preferably in a product-based startup or fintech company. - Strong ability to design modular, scalable, and high-performing backend systems. - Ability to write efficient, high-performance code that scales. - Ability to prioritize product and business needs while making tech decisions. - Someone who thrives in early-stage environments, enjoys building things from scratch, and takes high ownership. - Strong
experience in building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.

About the Role As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable backend systems that power Aspora’s fintech platform.
You will be an early shaper of the design and architecture of the core product & platform, and work closely with the founding team to deliver 10x value to our users.
