Responsibilities

Lead vessel discharge and loading activities, ensuring efficient turnaround times.
Oversee container handling operations from vessel to quay and onward transportation.
Coordinate container lashing and unlashing activities in line with vessel stowage plans and safety procedures.
Develop and implement operational plans to achieve customer service and productivity targets.
Ensure adequate labour, equipment, and resources are available to meet operational demands.
Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture across all operations.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, port regulations, maritime requirements, and company policies.
Lead, motivate, and develop supervisors, team leaders, lashers, and operational staff. (Headcount 20/25) Act as the primary operational contact for shipping lines, freight operators, customers, and port stakeholders.
Monitor operational budgets and implement cost-control initiatives.
Monitor labour productivity and equipment utilisation.
Produce operational and management reports.

experience in logistics, transport, warehousing, shipping, or port operations to join a fast-paced business and play a key role in driving operational excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction.
experience within logistics, ports, shipping, transport, warehousing, or related operational environments. Advantageous:
Experience within port, maritime, stevedoring, terminal, or vessel operations &/or knowledge of container lashing and securing procedures.
Strong understanding of container handling and logistics operations.
Experience managing large operational teams within a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational reporting systems.
