Requirements
- Come join the Cardiovascular institute at Carilion Clinic, where we offer state of the art technology in the area’s only Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Responsibilities: responsibilities include: Demonstrate proficiency with skills and knowledge to perform noninvasive vascular ultrasound examinations, assess technical data and provide preliminary results, and assist in the interpretation of exams Exam types include: Visceral arterial/venous Cerebrovascular – including TCDI Peripheral venous Peripheral arterial Vascular surgery OR procedures – pre, intra, and post-operative evaluations #crystalspringtower
- Licensure, certification, and/or registration RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) in Vascular Sonography. ARDMS or CCI.
- CPR certification required. Assesses patients for procedures ordered prior to, during, and after treatment according to Imaging Services/Departmental Guidelines.
- Graduate of approved School of Ultrasound or equivalent training.
- Experience: none Licensure, certification, and/or registration : ARRT registry/ARDMS in one of the following areas: OB/Gyn, Abd or Neurosonography.
- CPR certification required.

- HOURS: Monday - Friday- day shift with rotating call, weekends, and holidays.
- In addition to hospital-based services, we also support a wide variety of aortic and vascular surgeons.
- We are a dedicated Vascular Lab with a diverse and inclusive team of sonographers that pride ourselves on quality, teamwork, and the eagerness to learn.
- Operates highly specialized equipment, including radiographic, CR (Computed Radiography), DR (Digital Radiography), and PACS (Picture Archive Communication System).
- Creates a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
- Interprets information needed to identify each patients requirement and/or specific needs, and provides care per applicable policy and procedures.
