Responsibilities
- Oversee and administer contracts with Power Producers who interconnect to the Xcel Energy system and deliver their product through the Xcel Energy transmission system.
- Develop customer driven solutions for, and resolve disputes with, aforementioned customers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with wholesale customers.
- Initiate, develop, and maintain relationships with other utilities, suppliers, and other companies.
- Identify and analyze customers' and competitors' strategies, needs and plans, create and develop market and competitive intelligence and market plans for new transmission services.
- Originate, lead and direct interdisciplinary teams to provide and implement customized solutions to customers that bring added value to Xcel Energy delivery business unit.
Requirements
- Develop high-level relationships with industry customers while having extensive knowledge of Xcel Energy competitors. Essential
- Maintain strong understanding of FERC orders/rulings, PSC
- Requirements BS/BA degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent experience. Six years of combined
- experience in negotiating contracts within the energy environment, system planning, system operations, or engineering in a Utility environment preferred.
- Public speaking ability required.
- Work is highly confidential and requires an understanding of FERC order 888 and 889 and associated Standards of Conduct.
