Requirements
- The Lead Patient Care Tech Provides basic nursing care and performs advanced technical skills for specified age groups according to established standards.
- Exhibits competent knowledge of EMR and assists with chart audits.
- Engages in evidenced based practices that enhance the patient experience, including SAFETY rounding, communication etc. May be required to support multiple nursing units.
- If assigned to perform patient care tasks, must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development through the life span, possess the ability to recognize and report data reflective of the patient’s status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s
- May be required to sit with patients on suicide precautions or confusion. Ability to perform

- Provides quality service through a team oriented, collaborative approach to patient care. This 26 bed telemetry PCU specializes in the care and management of acute and chronic heart failure and other CVI medical conditions.
- This position is full time, working 6:45pm-7:15am with every other weekend and rotating holidays This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus when successful external candidate meets applicable guidelines.
- Functions as a key member of the health care team and performs tasks as delegated by licensed staff.
- Work is performed in patient care environment and is often fast paced, requiring use of prioritization skills.

- Transports patients, supplies, specimens, equipment, etc. within the facility.

- Actively participates in obtaining desired service line/departmental outcomes.
- Participates in unit quality surveillance activities.
- Actively participate in unit shared governance and/or organization councils/committees.
- Will lead unit huddle; participate in IDR's (unit based interdepartmental patient rounds).
- Provides support for department/unit staff scheduling, including covering lunch assignments.
- Orders department/unit supplies and equipment and stocks/organizes supplies.
